CORRECTION: HB169 methodology for nursing facilities

In last week’s edition of The Source, LeadingAge Ohio reported on the distribution of HB169 provider relief funds to Ohio nursing facilities and hospices. The article included inaccuracies related to how the nursing facility payments would be made, noting that the portion of payments calculated based on the quality incentive payment (QIP) would be calculated based on “ $0.36 per-QIP point, per Medicaid day, based on Medicaid days between November 1, 2020 and October 31, 2021.” In fact, the QIP payment portion will be based on the total Medicaid days reported on the 2020 cost reports.
